$10 MILLION WILL BE RAISED THROUGH ANNUAL GIVING
THE NIAGARA FUND

Dr. GalloNiagara University offers quality academic programs to bright and eager students. We prepare them to make their way–and a difference–in the world. But quality is costly, and most families are unable to afford the full cost of sending a child to Niagara University.

Today, over 98 percent of Niagara students receive financial assistance to attend the university. Your support of the Niagara Fund makes Niagara affordable for students from families with limited financial means.

Without the support of thousands of alumni, parents, and friends every year, many students would not be able to afford a Niagara University education. Thanks to this generosity, Niagara is able to continue to
provide students with a uniquely powerful combination of excellent academics and a sound moral and spiritual foundation. It helps the university recruit distinguished faculty members, keeps salaries competitive, and supports professional development programs that pay dividends in the classroom and in faculty retention.

The Niagara Fund helps today’s students get where they want to go in life. Alumni and other members of the Niagara community contribute more than $1.5 million each year to the Niagara Fund, an amount we will see grow by 5 percent each year during the campaign.

Every gift to Niagara makes a difference. The number of people who give influences the decisions of foundations and corporations as they select grant recipients. Prospective students and parents take note of the number of supporters as well. In addition, our national rankings among competitor institutions depend on our level of annual giving and alumni support.

Contributing to the Niagara Fund helps maximize each student’s “Niagara experience” by directing dollars to priority projects–those that most affect the quality of life for all students and have the most pressing financial need. According to Bob Dwyer, ’65, chairman of Niagara University’s board of trustees, “Alumni giving will be the single most important factor in determining Niagara’s status among private colleges and universities during this decade.”
