Dear Alumni and Friends,
Niagara University is at a wonderful and meaningful milestone in our history. The academic year 2006-07 marks our sesquicentennial-150 years of providing Catholic and Vincentian education that is Gospel based and values centered.
This milestone anniversary comes at a unique moment in our long history. It is a time of true transformation in the physical character of the university and in our approach to teaching and learning. And, it is a time when Niagara University is reaching out to our alumni and friends to request their legacy support of our largest campaign initiative-a campaign that will set the pace to fulfill our vision for the future.
The Promise of Niagara ... The Next 150 Years capital campaign will help support the significant physical changes Niagara University is making on campus, and also our programs that enhance the real-life educational experiences of our students. Niagara University seeks to develop within our students a passion for knowledge and inquiry through quality teaching and meaningful research. The Promise of Niagara is made to our future students. As we look back and treasure and thank the alumni of the past 150 years, we find ourselves at this strategic time and juncture in our history - looking forward to our next 150 years and the people and students we will serve. We must prepare for them and fulfill our promise to them: to give them the best college life and education possible, that which has been a 150 year tradition, a Catholic and Vincentian University experience.
Together we can enrich the lives of our students by providing the necessary educational resources and facilities needed to adapt to a changing and complex world. We can help to prepare them to live lives of active commitment to their friends, families, communities and churches.
