My name is Brittany Montante. I am currently a junior studying secondary education and special education, concentration in history. Presently, I am the treasurer/community service representative of NUFTA. This is my second semester in this position and I am really excited for this upcoming year. I am a commuter and live right in North Tonawanda. I work at a Hallmark store but hope to find a teaching job as soon as I graduate in 2010!

Melissa Moylan – Vice President

My name is Melissa Moylan and I am the Vice President for NUFTA. I am a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education (Birth-6th grade) with a concentration in Liberal Arts. I’m excited for this year because it seems
to be a great year to enjoy and have fun. I plan on going to Africa in the
summer for five weeks, which should be fun. I’m an RA in Seton this year
(my second year) and I’m also involved in other various activities, so you
can say that I have a pretty busy schedule. After graduating I plan on
continuing school here at NU for my Masters and then I would really like
to live in the Chicago Area. I grew up in Auburn, N.Y. where friends and family became really important to me. That’s about it about me. If you have any questions about the club or anything you can contact me.

Jessica Fronczak – Secretary

Hello, my name is Jessica Fronczak and I am NUFTA’s secretary. I’m currently a sophomore here at Niagara and majoring in Elementary Special Education. My concentration is in English and I also have a minor in literacy. My plan after I graduate, is to get my masters degree in Early Autism Intervention and to find a teaching job somewhere in Vermont or Pennsylvania. This is my first semester as a NUFTA officer and I am looking forward to becoming acquainted with all of you.

Ashley Scrivani – Treasurer/Community Service

Hello. I’m Ashley Scrivani, currently a junior at Niagara University. I currently hold the Public Relations board position and am in charge of Scholastic for NUFTA. My major is Education 1-9, with a concentration in math and a minor in literacy. I grew up and currently reside in the Town of Niagara and am a commuting student. My future plans are to teach either at the elementary level or in a middle school math class. I previously volunteered with other NUFTA members at the NYS Power Authorities Halloween party which was really a lot of fun. I’ve also volunteered as an orientation assistant in August. As far as hobbies go, I was on the Niagara University yearbook staff my freshman year and continue to submit pictures from many events. In my spare time, I enjoy working with children and scrap booking.

Danyelle Moore - Webmaster

Hello, my name is Danyelle Moore, I am a Junior here at NU. My major is Business Education 5-12. I am from the small town of Horseheads, NY where I hope to return and teach after I graduate. My experiences here at NU have been amazingly helpful in my pursuit to become a teacher.

Being a member of NUFTA has helped me become more marketable for future employers because of the professional development and resume building activities we do at our meetings.
