“Helping you keep your environment safe and clean”

ReNU Niagara COPC in the fall of 2006 activated the GreenLine, a telephone referral line and advocacy service. Niagara Falls residents who want to report environmental and health problems can now call a central number for help.

Residents calling the GreenLine will be effectively connected to the appropriate agency that handles specific health and environment situations. Residents should call the GreenLine if they have concerns or questions about such issues as graffiti removal, the illegal dumping of garbage; abandoned cars; rats, mice, bats, birds, roaches, lice, etc.; air or water pollution (carbon monoxide, mold, pesticides, second hand smoke); health and the environment (lead paint, sewage, fire safety, rabies, etc.).

The GreenLine is staffed live from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. As the referral line will primarily be staffed by Niagara University student volunteers, live coverage is affected by the university calendar. Callers are welcome to leave messages, and calls will be returned as soon as the office re-opens. It should be noted that the GreenLine is not a hotline or an emergency line. All environmental emergencies should be reported to emergency personnel through the usual channels.

The GreenLine phone number is (716) 205-0287.

We can connect you to resources to beautify your neighborhood and information on block clubs.

COPC now has recycling bins that we can distribute to Niagara Falls residents.

Individuals interested in a recycling bin can stop by our office during office hours.
