A brochure describing the project and sculptures was sent out to a large mailing list within the Niagara region, including churches, historical societies, community centers, and individuals. Entitled, "We're Looking for a Home," it encouraged community support in securing information on possible sites. The response was immediate and encouraging. After careful deliberation and research, the museum staff arrived at agreements with community representatives from seven sites: Niagara University, NY; Niagara Falls, NY; Lockport, NY; Niagara-On-the-Lake, Ontario; Pekin, N.Y, Lewiston, N.Y.; and Barker, N.Y.The sculptures were installed by museum and Niagara University staff. A dedication ceremony was held for each installation. Each ceremony was organized by the communities of the individual sites all sharing the common bond of a response poem written by Estella Conwill Majozo and a symbolic libation (pouring of water) on the site.
