Op Art
Op Art, also known as retinal art or perceptual abstraction, shares
its bright colors with Pop Art, but in fact is a very different
movement, depending largely on the way color and shape could create
various illusions when combined in precise ways. Artist Josef Albers,
who taught courses on color theory at the Bauhaus in the twenties,
is commonly thought of as the father of Op Art. Artists associated
with the movement include Richard Anuszkiewiwcz and Larry Poons
(in his early work).
