Minimalism

Many artists in the seventies were still ruled by the strict geometric regimen of minmalism, which had arisen in the sixties. These artists rejected the visible look of the handmade and instead made works that looked as though they had been fabricated or manufactured, as, indeed, often they were. Still, the pure colors and simple forms of minimalism have their own poetry.
